Enhance ResumeFor this assignment, I used prompts that asked AI to rewrite my resume for an engineering-related role while keeping my original experiences. I specifically instructed the AI to focus on analytical thinking, problem-solving, and efficiency instead of customer service and general business skills. I also asked it to avoid adding fake experiences and only reframe what I already had.
Compared to my original resume, the AI-generated version changed the wording significantly. My previous descriptions focused on communication and customer service, while the new version emphasized systems, processes, and operational efficiency. For example, tasks like serving customers were reframed as improving workflow and analyzing performance.
Through this process, I learned that prompt engineering is very important in getting useful results. Clear and specific instructions lead to better outputs. I also realized that the same experience can be presented differently depending on the target audience. Tailoring content is not about changing facts, but about highlighting the most relevant skills for a specific field.
